Absie Pantshwa
Absie was born in the Transkei in 1980. After attending Queenstown Girls’ High, Absie came to Johannesburg and studied beauty therapy. A twist of fate sent her into the Events industry where she has worked for the past 7 years. Absie is a social, people-loving person and she’s always laughing. She loves music, people and travel. She has the patience of a saint, never gets flustered and can solve any problem without missing a beat. She’s great at logistics and everybody loves her. Absie wants to live in Singapore one day.
Helen Vittle
Helen was born in England in 1970 but has been in SA since 1982. Since school at St. Mary’s and a BA at varsity in Natal, Helen has done lots of travel and varied jobs all involving people liaison and logistics. She has lived in France and speaks fluent French. She loves cooking, wine, magazines and travel but has a nerdy side which means she likes organising. No-one messes with her databases! Everyone thinks she’s shy but she’s merely concentrating and has a great sense of humour when not at her computer. Her favourite part of the event is at the end when everything is done and perfect, everyone is happy and it is time to sit down with a glass of wine!
Barry Mieny
Barry was born in South Africa in 1977. He’s our in-house computer whizz, the force behind the service we offer. There’s simply nothing he cannot do on a computer and we are secretly convinced he could hack into NASA if he really wanted to. He does all the website design and development and all the graphics for the mailers, invitations, auto-response messages and functionalities. He knows everything about the internet and can research anything you like with immediate effect. Barry has a zany sense of humour and he’s more chilled out than the rest of us, because he’s based in Cape Town. He loves yellow foods and Swedish music!
